Melted chocolate and peanut butter in a bowl for protein chocolate bark

  1. Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper and set aside

  2. Add the chocolate chunks and nut butter to a microwave-safe bowl

  3. Melt in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

    1. Alternatively, you can melt and temper the chocolate using a simple water bath method on the stove. This method is the best option if you plan on leaving the chocolate out at room temperature for parties or other occasions, since tempering helps the chocolate set properly and reduces how easily it melts.

    2. Start by bringing a saucepan of water to a gentle simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top with about ⅔ of your chopped chocolate, making sure the bowl does not touch the water. Stir continuously until the chocolate reaches 110–113°F, then remove it from the heat.

    3. Next, add in the remaining ⅓ of the chocolate and stir until it fully melts, the texture becomes smooth and glossy, and the temperature cools to 82°F. Return the bowl to the water bath briefly and stir until the chocolate warms back up to 90°F.

    4. Once tempered, mix in your Lifter Protein Crispies, then pour the chocolate mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

  4. To your melted chocolate, add the Lifter Protein Crispies and stir until evenly coated Stirring Lifter Protein Crispies into melted chocolate and peanut butter

  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan

  6. Sprinkle with sea salt or extra Lifter Protein Crispies if desired

  7. Place in the freezer for about 15 minutes, then remove and slice into 12 bars
